Therapy Intensives
While weekly therapy can help address issues as they arise regularly, a therapy intensive offers a more direct approach to traditional therapy models. Utilizing evidence-based approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), therapy intensives provide a comprehensive healing experience. Through employing specific trauma treatment techniques, we can tackle various challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life stressors, and addiction. By creating the space to focus on these ideas in a more direct way you can expect:
1
Accelerated Healing
Immersing yourself in therapy for two consecutive days, you can accelerate your healing process, make substantial progress in a short time, and heal trauma by accessing and processing past traumatic experiences with support from your Self.
2
Deeper Self-Awareness
Gain deep insight into your inner dynamics and how various elements influence your life.
3
Improved Realationships
Learn to connect with your inner parts with compassion and understanding, fostering healthier external relationships.
4
Stress Reduction
Create strategies to cope with stress and emotional challenges.
5
Personal Growth
Foster personal transformation and self-compassion.

Get in Touch
To determine whether the trauma therapy retreat model aligns with your needs and whether this type of work is the right fit for you, we will start with an intake assessment. This gives us the time and space to discuss whether or not these services will be the right fit for your needs. If you have decided a therapy intensive is the right fit, you will complete a comprehensive intake packet that shares your background, current challenges, and goals. This allows us to tailor the retreat to your specific needs. Each day during your 2-day intensive therapy retreat, we will meet for six hours, with breaks for lunch and as needed throughout the day. These in-person sessions are designed to explore healing trauma, PTSD, and life stressors deeply. At the end of your retreat, we will have a post-intensive session to assess your progress, debrief, and ensure you feel equipped to integrate your new insights into daily life. This session helps solidify the progress made during the retreat and provides a roadmap for continued healing.
While much can be accomplished during our weekly sessions together, therapy intensives bypass the limitations of the insurance model by offering a focused timeframe to address significant material in just hours or days, rather than months. Those interested in therapy intensives should continue participating in bi-weekly therapy, whether with me or another therapist, to maintain their engagement in general therapy work.
